Armani infringes shoe design

Shoe designer Jan Jansen has been successful in the summary proceedings that he instituted against Giorgio Armani before the Amsterdam Court. The judge ruled that Armani had infringed Jan Jansen’s copyright by marketing a specific shoe (folded out of one piece of leather) and using pictures of that shoe in an advertising campaign for Armani Perfumes.
